Sudbury, ON - After a two year hiatus, Freedom Fight Productions returns with its first event on Ontario soil. The popular Canadian owned events have been seen globally via network television and DVD release with its live events being held primarily in Quebec due to past restrictions on the sport. After over a decade of promoting MMA from coast to coast, Freedom Fight MMA’s promoter Pete Rodley is excited to finally be able to bring the action to his home town. “For years our local fighters have been the visiting team and I have been promoting events very far from home. With MMA now legal in Ontario, I look forward to showcasing our local athletes, local business and our great community.” Rodley’s partner Rob Ferrucci ads “I am a longtime fan of Mixed Martial Arts and I am excited to now be a part of it. Freedom Fight MMA is a national brand but a local company and together we will work hard to give the fans what they deserve.”

Ferrucci has years of promotions experience and deep roots planted in Sudbury. As the owner of Cranky Joes Bar & Grill, Rob has built solid relations with the community. Blend that with the nearly 15 years of MMA experience under Rodley’s belt and you have a winning combination.

The Freedom Fight MMA team plan to bring multiple events to the Sudbury Arena.

Fans have come to rely on Freedom Fight MMA events for non-stop action with an “old school/hardcore feel” while the athletes know that this is a place for them to get top notch treatment and respect. The live action is set to take place on Saturday, September 10th, 2011 at the Sudbury Arena – Sudbury, Ontario, right in the heart of the cities downtown core.
